Our engineering teams are growing and we’re looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible Trainee Engineers to join us. You’ll receive full on the job training as well as training certifications required for the role. We’ll be investing in you so all we ask for is enthusiasm, flexibility and an appetite to learn.

This is a mobile role so a full UK Driving Licence is essential but beyond that, attitude is more important than specific experience. Preferably you will have some previous experience in the telecommunications industry, preferably experience working on the Virgin Media or Openreach network, or maybe some background in wiring from previous work or qualifications/training.

What you will be learning to do:

  • Network testing of all micro ducting within the fibre to the home network.
  • Fibre blowing.
  • Complete and submit all necessary documentation.
  • Deal with day to day issues and problem solving.
  • Comply with Health & Safety and environmental policies.
    Full training will be given on all of the above.

About you:

  • Enthusiastic with an appetite to learn new skills
  • Able to meet strict quality standards.
  • Awareness of Customer Satisfaction for both internal and external sources.
  • Self-Motivated and flexible. We may need you to work overtime some evenings or weekends as required so an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work is essential.
  • Good communication skills

Skills/knowledge for the role:

  • Experience working within the telecommunications industry (Preferred)
  • Some background or training in wiring would also be desirable but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
